Choose one shared game and one little extra

Think about when guests will be together and how much attention you want the game to take. These ideas work from seats, around tables or while people chat.

  1. How well do you know the parents?

Ask about childhood ambitions, favourite foods and familiar habits. Mix both parents’ stories so several friendship groups have a way in.

    Try 10–15 questions after food

    Create a parent quiz

  2. Whose childhood photo is this?

Collect childhood pictures from the parents and close family. Offer a few names as possible answers and let the owner tell the story after the reveal.

A short visual round within your quiz

  3. Predictions you can settle today

Ask guests which playful team name the parents will choose or how many quiz answers they will match. Record the choices before the reveal.

Will they choose Team Tiny Socks or The Nap Negotiators?

    Create shower predictions

  4. Bingo around the celebration

Build a card with achievable social and photo challenges. Keep it available while guests talk, eat and catch up.

An optional activity throughout the shower

    Create shower bingo

Make the parents’ own answers the surprise

Ask each parent a few questions separately, then invite guests to predict the answers.

Choose predictions you can reveal at the shower, such as the parents’ team name or favourite childhood snack.

Which answer will they choose?

  • The childhood snack they would bring back
  • Their ideal free afternoon
  • The family tradition they want to continue
  • Their parenting team name

A simple plan from arrival to goodbye

  1. On arrival: open predictions

Share the event link while guests settle in. Explain which choices will be revealed later in the shower.

  2. After food: bring everyone together

Run a short parent quiz or photo round. Small mixed teams give quieter guests someone to discuss answers with.

  3. Before the close: reveal the choices

Let the parents choose their team name or share their prepared answers. Finish with the results and leave time for everyone to say goodbye.

Prepare the games before guests arrive

  1. Collect material privately

With Events, invite photos and answers through a private questionnaire link, then review the contributions in your event.

  2. Choose what guests see

Add the parents’ photos and answers, then choose the quiz questions and prediction prompts.

  3. Share one guest room

Guests join in a browser and return to the same event for the quiz, predictions and bingo.

Common questions

How many games should I plan?

Start with one shared game and one optional activity. A short quiz plus predictions gives the shower a few shared moments while leaving room for the celebration itself.

Can we play with mixed ages and friendship groups?

Yes. Use small mixed teams, recognisable photos and multiple-choice answers. Keep the prompts independent of parenting experience or physical speed.

Can guests predict the baby’s arrival?

You can collect longer-term guesses, but their answers won’t be known during the shower. For a same-day reveal, choose outcomes you can settle at the event and keep future predictions separate.

What do we need for a live quiz?

Prepare the quiz on a computer and use a shared screen, guest phones and internet at the shower. Guests join in their browser without installing an app.

Can I choose just one activity?

Yes. Add only the quiz, predictions or bingo you want. A full programme is optional.

Choose your first baby shower game

Start with a parent quiz, predictions or bingo. Add photos and stories if you want to make it personal.
